I would never have thought about it: the kitchen is the most
romantic place in the world
I felt some footsteps behind me, hands joined mine under the clean
waterfall. His breath close, so close on my neck. Time stood still
for an instant, for an eternity.
He was smiling as we
spun around on a makeshift dance floor. Magic gave way to surprise
when between turns,
a small, beautiful, unmistakable case fell from his pocket to
the ground.
It opened and... I couldn't say anything, I just laughed, and
laughed blissfully, while he stared at me, smiling, with the
intensity of the first time. I leaned on the counter-top as he put
the ring on my finger. That diamond, which he offered me still
laughing, illuminated my future.
-"Only you fill my life with complicity, passion, illusions. I
love you. Do you want to marry me, make this house our enchanted
castle and be happily ever after?"
-"Of course! Forever, yes," I replied.
